There is another video of that same car from a different angle that has been going around the net for a few months now... it was cool to see a different angle on it though! That was due to a nitrous backfire from what I read elsewhere.
that's horrible, i feel for that guy.....what's he going to tell his insurance? that he was drag racing and the nitrous backfired....that'd go over real well
