Anderson valve covers, do they fit?

I have chance to pick up a set of Anderson valve covers and wondered if anyone is using them on their 94-95's. I think I read on here that a few were using them, but I wasn't sure. If anyone has them, were there any fitment problems?

I have them. They did live up to their word about fitting underneath an edel RPM intake and still clearing my stud mount rockers. BUT they dont seal for ****. I have to use cork gaskets with a slathering of RTV on both sides to get these things not to leak. Its terrible. For my new engine combo im going with Trick Flow Valve covers plus that way i can put my breather tube wherever i want.

I think Vib has had better luck with his though.

It says on the website use Metel OE gaskets (no cork). I have them, Green and about dozen other members run them. In fact at one point AFM was out of stock because all they hype they got on here. I was told I would need an intake spacer to clear my Holley intake. AFM covers have in inch between them and the intake. For the money they can't be beat. Mine sealed just fine. Use the stock OEM metal gaskets and stock valve cover bolts and your all set.

I used those first but the oil was just dripping out of them all around. Then i went with the cork and it worked better, then with RTV they seal up.

would anyone happen to know if they would clear 1.7 rockers and a stock cobra intake?

What do you use for a breather system when you use valve covers like that?

Damn good question Rob. I can't believe I didn't even notice that. DOH! I'd hate to go cutting up a set of chrome VC's.

i am not using the anderson covers but i use trick flow covers that came with no hole cut into them so i had to drill a big hole and use the trick flow oil fill tube kit. i dont know how it would be to try and drill the anderson covers, being that they're chrome.

I would think you have to do the same thing. Put some masking tape around a large area. Mark the area and go for it. I didn't even notice it in the pic. Those are not the AFM covers I have. Mine had the hole already cut and came with a breather system.

on the anderson website both the chrome and polish VC have oil fill tubes.

i think that the valve covers in the pic paul posted are the polished ones without the filler neck...look at the ad donkey_punch posted...it shows that only the polished ones can be ordered w/o the breather...
