I just got the 4.10's installed the other day with some pro3i upper and lower control arms. I did the heat the gears up and let them cool treatment a few times. Then let them sit overnight. I don't even know if this is needed to "break them in" but better safe than sorry.

As for the UCA's and LCA's they have changed the ride for the better. I can't hear any extra noise from them (they are actually quieter than my stock ones) and they really help to plant the tires on acceleration while keeping the car going straight (not as much fishtail when hitting 2nd gear). Overall they seem to give a "stronger" feel to the rear of the car when going around corners or going straight, the stock control arms felt mushy compared to these.

Now since the UCA's and LCA's seem to really help plant the tires I really don't have a huge problem with the traction. Don't get me wrong though there are absoulty no problems getting the tires to bark or peel out, I just don't feel like I'm gonna throw the car into a 360 from the 1-2 shift, as I have read from some other posts. Overall they seem to make the car a lot stiffer and sure footed.

1st gear is a little short but very strong but not so short that I'm not able to use it. Its kinda cool that you can let the clutch up with out hitting the gas and start moving instead of stalling. If I get a good launch (not just nailing the gas from a stand still smoking the tires) it seems that the tires chirp pretty much the whole way through the gear (just little squeeks, not sitting there smoking them)

2nd gear to me feels *almost* like 1st used to with the 3.27's (the largest simmilarity starts around 2500 to 3000 rpms). The 1-2 shift barks the tires much harder, but I think that the UCA's and LCA's are helping to keep them planted. The rear will sway back and forth a little bit, but it feels a lot stiffer and a lot more sure, not like the rear end is bending up the back of my car, or that I am gonna lose control.

3rd gear is simmilar to the old 2nd gear only it is a breeze to get a good bark from the 2-3 shift with the stock shifter.

4th gear pulls very hard compared to how it used to be, somewhat simmilar to old 3rd.

5th gear will actually let me accelerate now. I don't feel like the car is puking or out of breath when I hit the gas down.

I know that there are plenty of articles on here about gears, but I figured it would never hurt to have another person's opinion when doing research on the forums :flag:
As for other mods, all I have is a Magnaflow catted X and cat back, Pro3i subframe connectors, and a K&N FIPK II.

Good review, im hoping to have some 4.10's and the lca's sometime after this summer. Thanks for the review, I bet its a blast...oh yea how are the rpms...Thanks

no problem, it really does change the car to where I think its a little more fun to drive, as for the rpms, they are higher but it seems to keep the car in the power zone. It seems that when I'm just cruising around that the car is always at a decent rpm where not a lot of down shifting needs to take place, and the car won't lag as much if you give it some gas. I think the 4.10's just match my driving habits a little better than the 3.27's did. I haven't driven on the interstate yet, but one thing for sure is that with the higher rpm in my daily driving it takes my magnaflow magna packs out of the "drone zone" which is a nice rest on my ears. I will have to pay a little more attention to the rpms when im out driving tonight, and give you some numbers.

another note about the UCA's and LCA's that my brother saw when I was driving around earlier was when I get on the gas the entire car kinda rises up, where before just the hood seemed to jump up. The hood still goes higer but the whole car kinda jumps as he told me...just thought that was kinda cool.
