Another 9" question

I've read most of the write ups and such, but can anyone tell me for sure/definative A 1975 Grenada 9", is it a direct bolt in to a '65??? Except for the Ubolts?

Yes.
Depending on the rear your car came with, you may need a hybrid rear u-joint.

Is this a Granada 9-inch disc brake rear end (same thing as Versailles rear end), or is it a Granada 9-inch drum brake rear end?

If it's a disc brake rear end, you'll need U-bolts to fit around a 3" axle tube. If it's a drum brake rear end, you'll need U-bolts to fit around a 2-3/4" axle tube. You would also have to modify your original spring plates for the appropriate U-bolt spacing. This is best done by welding the original holes up solid and drilling new ones to fit the needed U-bolts.

On a Granada 9-inch disc brake rear end, it will have a round companion flange where the driveshaft bolts up. This will have to be removed and replaced with a 1310 or 1330-series companion flange designed for a conventional U-joint.

On the Granada 9-inch drum brake rear end, it will have a conventional companion flange, but it MAY be too long to use with your stock-length driveshaft. If it is, you will either have to shorten the driveshaft, or you could get a shorter companion flange off a '65-'85 Ford half ton pickup. The latter would keep you from having to shorten the shaft.

Instead of changing the U bolt plates, replace them with a set of Lakewood traction bars. The flange(if it's what I'm thinking it is) can be mated with one from a 90's Ranger, then use the appropriate U joint to fit the driveshaft.

Why not just use spring plates and u-bolts from the Granada???

That is what I would try.
