Roush Another dealer trying to pass off a clone!

The first give away is the actual listing title; why list it as a 2007 model if it's a 1996?!?

Anyway, where to begin...

The wheels are incorrect, the bumper # is faked, the gauges have fake SALEEN decals pasted over them, the console plate is obviously faked as is the underhood plate, the seats have been very poorly recovered (note all of the wrinkles), the exterior graphics are incorrect & mismatched (note the missing SALEEN logo on the driver's side door), the exhaust system is incorrect & it has ricer tail lights .

I haven't even checked whether it's an authentic SVT Cobra, but the purple color seems incorrect because I don't believe SVT offered that color & the steering wheel should have COBRA embossed on it instead of the running horse logo.

That's all I noted in an admittedly off-the-cuff quickie review.

But I'll give the guy credit for installing the correct body panels & heat extractor hood.

Well I reported him to E-bay. If you have a clone call it that this guy has some nerve saying it is real. I don't go around telling people mine is real when they ask I tell them straight up that it is a clone. Well there's my 2 cents.

I just checked Jim Campisano's 'Powered by SVT' book & confirmed that the Cobra was never offered in purple nor was white leather an interior color.

Therefore this car was either repainted purple or it's a purple GT that has had the Cobra DOHC engine transplanted.

Either way, it seems to be an awful lot of time, money & trouble to fake not only a Saleen but a Cobra as well. :nonono:

He just pulled it. E-mailed saying it was a consignement. I find it hard to believe he would consign somethign then list it as a 2007 and list it with the wrong VIN. If you list it as a 07 with ebay system you have to put a 07 VIN in or it will kick it out. Hummn..
