Another eBay scam

Anytime they want or 'Need' you to contact them directly it will be a scam. They are avoiding the eBay protection.

I also recieved a message from ebay that they are hijacking an innocent persons account in order to post the auction. That is how they get the 100% feedback. The seller listed is not the one you are e-mailing. I saw one auction actually change sellers mid-auction.

This is all speculation but seems to make sense to me...

You guys have received the "update your ebay account" types of emails right that are bogus. Well when people actually bite on them, they put in their ebay account information in there and somebody steals it. This guy then takes that information and then creates this bogus auction with a real account. You notice the feedback for the guy is not bad. That's probably the reason for him wanting you to contact him directly....otherwise you might actually get in touch with the real owner of that account.

Wait wait... I emailed him. I have free time, and a twisted sense of humor. Lets see how far I can take this

Dear Carsalesmen,

I am interested in your car very much. I am currently in chicago,
but I am able to visit to see the car and give you the money for it
immediatly. I am liking this car very much, and excuse for me poor

the car in person I an in position to have car shipped to my
residence of current, meeting somewhere to handmoney over to you

You can find this same money scam on ebay everyday by doing a search for kubota and find a listing that is under $8k, no bids and has a "pre-approved bidders" list.

Ebay is stupid to allow this as most all of the pre-approved bidders auctions are fake, money scams....

check out http://cgi.ebay.com/2003-Kubota-L48...584258784QQcategoryZ91953QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The thing that kills me about this auction ? LMAO. The shipping is FREE for a Kubota that size !!!!!!!!!!!!

DING DING DING DING DING DING DGIN

"I am based in UK, London and I have the car
here with me. The car belonged to my brother. My brother is in the
hospital and he will go into surgery in 6 days and I am desperate to
sell this car as fast as I can because I need the money to take care
of my brother.

If you want to continue , please email your full name and address
for shipping purposes so we can get on with it."

Well guess what... IT JUST so happens I have a cousin in the UK.

"Where abouts in the UK are you? My cousin is living there managing a export company called Lao-Che Frieght. He will be able to shipping the car for free and save you more money to take care of your sick brother. If you are close to him, he can handle giving you the money and then shipping for me the car for free. I was going to come visit using his shipping company, but the only thing he had available was a ford tri-motor cargo plane carrying chickens.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!"

If anyone chatches the indiana jones reference, :rlaugh:

I did and also contacted the seller (which the auction said not to do) E-bay pulled it and the seller said that Ebay had made a mistake and it was not his auction.

I tried to report it, but for some reason the eBay frame wouldn't download.

But, good for you. I'm glad this guy didn't get to take advantage of someone.

If his brother can afford to take that car to the UK then he can afford to have the surgery....especially with the cost of gas over there.

lol nice story. I think that everyone should report scams to eBay as soon as you find one. I sure as hell wouldnt want to get stuck with paying some guy enough money to wipe his ass with, and I end up with nothing.
