ANOTHER FIRST TODAY!! The Home Owners Assoc claims my BMW is OFFENSIVE!

In that case. I would park all of my cars just off to the side of my driveway and I would leave the garage doors open so they could see that it was empty.
Then to really get them going. I would move my patio set into the driveway, then sit down and relax while having a few brewsky's.

But, that's just me....LOL

Yep. Thanks for the support guys. Sorry but I am a little aggravated on this one as you can tell.

My neighbors have a statue of Mary in their backyard. If I wanted to be a real butt head, I could complain that their statue is religously offensive but I won't:

#1 Because it is THEIR property and I respect that right in general.
#2 I am not truthfully offended by their statue.
#3 I mind my own business.

But it is amazing that a car can be offensive. Maybe I should gut it, place it out in the yard in a garden with a fountain and worship it. Then I could say it is my religous right.

BTW if these people are so close to God, shouldnt they have better manners? Would Jesus complain? I am truely disappointed that people who consider themselves close to God could be so "up-ity" and petty. Aren't there other causes to be concerned with this time of year rather than making ill will of dumb $h1t?

The problem with HOA's is that they don't know where to draw the line. Most of the stuff they whine about is stupid crap. But I have to admit, I like the idea that the neighbors won't be parking a Bus or Winnebago on their property or putting couches on their front yard as lawn furniture.

That sucks, but IMHO it does "look" crappy. I would maybe look at doing the paver/two strips of concrete like posted earlier...possible light "dusting" of some gravel maybe, like some 1in minus  .

I live on the boarder of a historic "old town" and a VERY strict area to begin with. If I have a car with even expired tags in MY driveway in view of others I get a fine. If I want to change the color of the house I "should" go threw the local gov. to make sure its an approved color (VERY strict due to the closeness of the historical district I boarder). Dont even get me started on code's...not too mention the area of 3k people has the SAME number of inspectors as the WHOLE 300k county does:eek: , I have been inspected twice now but its due to over 15% increase in value in less than 2yrs  . The good thing is property values are very steady and above average for the region.

I'm surprised you don't have to clear it through your local govt. to wipe your ass.

Seriously, what a joke. I live in an upscale area in Montana and all of these out of state pricks are moving in and bringing **** like this with them..
They moved out of California because they were miserable but want to make my town just like their old one was.
Pokageek, I would become your neighbor's worst nightmare if they were petty enough to turn you in instead of say something to your face.:bs:

Its not too bad, the area is kinda in the middle of some "shaddy" areas they have kept the area really nice, I have only seen the "law" get dropped if the owners lets things get really bad.

I hear you though, I grew up in the "country"...like 30min drive to the closest wally world. "City" people started moving in and felt the "need" for a police force  and they were shocked  that there was not one. These city people didnt understand there was NO need for police. They got there wish and now all they bitch about is how many tickets and speed traps are setup...what did they expect :owned: . Every time we went 4x4ing or creek running we ended up popping up into a new sub. Saw the whole area turn into a fairly upscale (for the region) area with sky high property req. and costs...like 3acre min. with the avg. acre @ 45k 10yrs ago...

Just park the car on the grass, let the grass grow until it covers the car, problem solved! They'll stop bitchign about the car & start bitching at you to cut the grass.

I've two huge maples trees in front of my house, the neighbours bitched about all the leaves & sap, not to mention bird crap, right up until I told them I was cutting one of them down, oh no they said please don't we need the shade in the summer as we don't have a CA unit. Go figure! BTW they also complained that they could hear me going to work at 4am so could I please not make so much noise, to piss them off a bit more I let my brother drive the stang for a few days while I used his bike (Harley nice and loud) Problem solved.
