im getting ready to perform fox TB conversion i have a 70mm BBK. i was reaserching on here and everyone says u have to use fox TB cable but i never found out why u have to. so if anyone could clarify this for me it would be great.

i dont want to have to buy one if i dont have to and on the TB the shaft with the spring and cable mounts is the same depth and everything so why couldnt i just swap the arm off of my stock to the fox TB??

oh yeah if i do that i then could keep my cruise control which would be even sweeter.

well if i take the arm off of my stock one and put it in the fox the cables would match up perfect then cause it is the same arm right, and the cable wouldnt really be like a inch to long and that wont affect anything really would it since u can adjust.

The point where the cable attaches is generally connected firmly to the butterfly, so I don't know how easily you can take it off. And if you did manage to switch over the 94/95 style arm, you'd have to rig up some kind of place to mount the bracket for the cable, since it's not similar to the Fox setup.

Just get the Fox cable, it takes all of two minutes to swap out and it'll save you a headache.
