with the new heads, cam, and bigger throttle body whenever i'm driving down the street and my rpms are up it sounds like its cutting out or backfiring or something.....i don't loose power and i have it times at 14*......does that mean i need a bigger exhaust like maybe a 3" or does it mean i need a dyno-tune bad???
i currently have a 2-1/2" exhaust....

Check for vacuum leaks, could be lean misfire.

+1 look for a vacumm leak. It's not uncommon to have a vacumm leak after doing H/C/I work.

A vacuum leak usually causes a high idle so if your engine does idle high, look for a vacuum leak especially where the lower intake is bolted to the heads.
A 2.5" exhaust is more than big enough.

Good advice from all

Be sure to look at E V E R T H I N G you disturbed during that recent project

A L L hoses, electrical connections, bolts, etc, need to be just as delivered
from Ford :Word:

It only takes one or two of those little things to make your car a totally
disappointing experience every time you drive it

One last thing ...
you did run ALL lower intake bolts multiple times for correct tightness ... Right!

grady...yep i used my chilton manual and torqued them to the specifications the manual stated....i also got new grade 8 bolts for the lower intake, plus used arp head bolts....i'm gonna look all over my hoses again...it was 100* here and it made it really difficult to want to go look at my car today...maybe early in the morning....
