Most of my rockers are as close to the center of the valve stem as possible.

But one rocker (if i push it far left) will come about halfway off the stem. If i push it back it will sit straight center. But im worried about the consequences, are their any if the rocker is too far from center? Should i bother adjusting this one? I adjusted it a couple times before but it always does this.

you need to take all that apart and figure out the problem is before you try and run the engine!

You want to get it as centered as possible when the engine is under rotation - of course you know this. Just keep working at it and get it set good luck!

I will let you know I have run a few of my rockers for about 14-15k miles where they ride half way on the stem. This is not ideal...and is the valve keepers are starting to split...but hopefully they will be pulled off relatively soon anyways. I havne't seen any ill effects yet but of course it is a paranoia.

5spd,
Correct me if I am wrong, but if your retainers split enough, the spring comes up and the locks come loose and bye bye valve to meet mr piston....If those retainers are starting to crack, you better replace them...

Correct, that is what I was trying to get at - just giving my experience "so far".
