I've decided to supercharge and like everyone else want the most for the $. I would like to get 320-360 rwhp, so with my set-up will the novi 1220 do the job or do I need to cough up the extra for the Vortech V-2? What kind of boost can I expect from the NOVI? Also any advice on the self-lubricated vs engine oil lubricated versions? Any help will be much appreciated.

vortech v1 s-trim w/ 10 pulley will get you around 400 rwhp w/ your mods on a mutang dyno at that. i run virtech as you can see and am plenty happy w/ it. i dont know anything about the novi so im sorry bout that.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that. Paxton is a GREAT company. The Novi 2000 blower is incredible to say the least. I'd buy a Novi 1000 from Summitracing.com if your only looking for 320rwhp. A novi 1000 10lbs with h/c/i will put you over 400rwhp.

Paxton is Vortech. Vortech is Paxton. Anybody that just generally states that one is superior to the other needs to pull their head out.

Any of the major brands will all do the same...i.e. Novi, Vortech, Paxton, ATI/Procharger. Comparing the same amount of boost on them all will all yield comparable results.

yeah but some brands fit better than others and some brands and designed better. IMHO Vortech is the best not so much for performance gains but for quality, fitment, and warrenty.......PLAIN AND SIMPLE

Vortech owns Paxton. They are the same company. As far as i know, the have the same warranty. It is unlikely that Vortech would own Paxton and put out an inferior supercharger under the Paxton name. I am sure there are some differences, but not enough for you to come in and tell people that Vortech is superior.

for what you pay for the vortech units, you can spend few hundred more and get an intercooled procharger setup, Intercoolers are super important on forced induction applications especially this time of year when heat starts coming around

Thanks guys, I can tell that you're serious about your cars. Still would like some specific feedback on the novi 1220, will it get me to 320-340 rwhp, is the self-lube a good way to go?

It will easily put you in that power range. 320rwhp can probably be done on 6-8psi for your current combo...nothing to major. I would just say search these boards and find some good reviews.
