since i realized the t5 i got isnt a world class and it needs a rebuild anyway i figured id just give up on that and buy a new world class or something. i was looking in summit and the got a ford racing super duty 5 speed. it this the same thing as the z rated trans? if so or if not whats your opinion on the trans it costs like $1200. and last it has a 2.95 first gear ratio but ive heard that certain year t5s came with a 3.35 first is this true and if so what years, where can i get one?

How do you spell T-R-E-E-M-C T-K-O?

Rather than spending money on a new T5, look into buying a Tremec TKO 500 or TKO 600. It is just a few $$$ more. You'll never have to spend money on a transmission again as long as you keep it filled with the proper lubricant and don't do dumb things like full power shifts without a clutch.

For more info, see http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/products/TKO.asp

For T5 rebuild info see See http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/onlineorder/product.asp to download a FREE service manual for T5 or Tremec 3550
You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer which is also a free download – http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

For information on T5 gear ratios see http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/T5Identifier.gif

What tranny fluid do you use for your tremecs? Do you have to get the GM fluid or can I use royal purple?
