I've searched and found the issue with the two bolts missing, but I don't think that is my issue.

I only notice it at idle, in neutral or with the clutch fully depressed. There is a noticable tapping sound that is more pronounced than the normal noisy valvetrain. The sound goes away when the clutch starts to engage. So if I hear the sound I can start to let the clutch out like im taking off, and it stops. If I push the clutch back in, it returns.

This started happening only recently and very randomly. Car is an 06 GT with 18,000 miles.

I have this problem I rised my idle to 850 and it went away. Search the forums for "noise from bellhousing." Not sure what it is, but it is worse when cold and it is coming from the bellshousing.

Thanks. I still have till 50,000mi on warranty so I will wait to see if it worsens. It hasn't made the sound for over a week since its been a lil warmer outside. Not sure if it will only show up when it's super cold or if it was coincidence.
