News from the front lines.

The dealership owns the ground so the car isnt going to be towed by the bank which is good news. The guy who owns the car left it there and skipped out on a 2500.00 repair bill. So it runs and drives and will need going over but should be sound. Dad is going today to try to catch up with the dealer owner and he'll let me know. I guess I'll see how well he knows the guy.

Cool good luck. Probably goign to be a good chunk of change to make that convertible top nice again. Did you look under the car....I would expect to see some rust issues from being parked on grass/dirt lot for over a year. Probably mold mildew issues from the back window being broken...could lead to wiring issues.
PA can be a real pain with salvage titles....they really don't give many out anymore. You will need to get a bill of sale and salvage certificate to be able to file for a title. Then you will have to go to an "enhanced" inspection.

not yet. I didnt call my Dad today. I figured I was calling him to the point where he might get a restraining order. So I spent today sanding down the 87 and moved it inside for paint. I have to get that done first so that I can make room if I get it. I will get an update tomorrow

Ok 705 and no word. Drove by and the car is still there so I dont know what the deuce is going on. I think the guy is dragging his feet with my Dad. So Im going go and put the LX in primer and put it out of my mind for now. Nothing EVER goes according to the time frame I set up in my head.
