1968 428FE removed from a Torino. The motor had been out of the car for quite a few years and its rough. Needs cleaned up, and some machine work inside(stuff like boring, has some rust in there from water leakin in), Crank is good, Rods should be usable, Heads are dissassembled and somewhat rough. original 4 barrel intake is included. What might this bring?

If it's a std bore block, std crank, just the block and crank ( even if they're not CJ pieces) is worth at least $500. If the motor is a CJ or even SCJ, add another $500 to that.

Get the casting numbers off the heads and the block and the intake and post them up. The block is not worth anything until you have it checked to be sure it doesnt have any cracks. They also say have them sonic checked too. Its worth you spending the money if you are really going to try and sell the stuff. Most guys that know FE stuff will not touch it without knowing that. To many people find this stuff in wrecking yards and think its worth a fortune. Its really not unless someone is doing a restore numbers correct car. The 427 FE stuff is what brings the big bucks.
