Dropped off my original 19# injectors at a local shop for the ANSU clean & test. The injectors had 102k miles on them prior to the testing. 1 of the 8 injectors was failed the pressure leak test. 3 of them had bad spray patterns while the others were all fair. The Flow rate was about 12% degraded on the worst performer.
After the cleaning, we were back to as new performance with excellent spary, flow rate, and no leaks as rated by the tester. I noticed that engine start up is almost immediate now after the cleaning. A definite change in start up responsiveness as I used to turn over the engine a few times more before successful ignition....maybe the leaky injector dropped my line pressure too much?
It will be interesting to see if I get a mileage improvement also.
I still need to fix that stupid code 41,91, & 34 also which I am guessing will also help the MPG.
I also stripped and spray painted the injectors after the cleaning to restore their appearance.
