I am finally going to be installing my Bilsteins struts and shocks on my 02 mustang gt. I have no lowered my mustang at all.

Any advices, warnings, what to do or not to do? Potential hood clearance issues if any?

Also, alignment shouldnt be any problem right (my car isnt lowerd). I am assuming the steps are 1. take the old shocks and struts off, 2. install the new bilsteins, and 3. get my vehicle aligned.

No extra parts for the shocks and no need for CC plates right?

Normal?

When my 02 Mustang GT hits about 2000rpm I can hear a secondary hum in addition to the normal revving sound. I observe this more so in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. Is this normal?

The sound sounds like some restriction of some sort, but I am not sure.

Done with the struts and shocks! Gosh, took me a good 4-5hours. Nevertheless, done! My first time doing something like this and i think i can say i have a whole new level of respect for mechanics. Great learning experience.

I got to say, bilsteins vs stocks, a very noticeable improvement. My GT dont bounce around all over the place now and the tires remains planted. Should have done this sooner.

No more wheel hop anymore too! Thank goodness. I cant believe i can turn corners in excess of 60mph and not feel like i am out of control.

Thanks everyone!
