any ever blow a

front tranny seal after adding lucas tranny fix

apparently I had my nephew use the lucas after doing a search on this board and seeing many people recommend the product

about thirty minutes after putting the lucas tranny fix in I believe the front seal blew out completely, his car starting smoking about 30 minutes after putting the lucas in and he stopped to take a look and said the tranny fluid was completely pouring out of the bell housing and tonight the tranny is completely empty.

any suggestions would help

That isn't a common exerience at all. However, it should be realized that tranny fixers in a bottle like that often work with detergents and other agents to break up sludge and grime. Same thing as adding synthetic oil to an old engine. You break up the sludge and suddenly have a leak. Ussually, it is just small leaks though.
What kind of tranny is it? I know the A4ld have a huge problem with the front seal, because it is integrated with the pump assembly.

the tranny is a automatic with overdrive I'm not for sure if that is the a4ld but after blowing out the front seal ( at least what seemed like a blow out) the tranny was registering no fluid on the dip stick so we put a couple of courts in just to move it around the drive way and the fluid level is fine and there are no leaks either,

but there is a couple of hard shifting points
