I'm looking to place an order for Flowmaster parts, but its pretty daunting between all the items they carry. I think I'm getting to the point where I understand most of all the offerings, but I figured I'd check up since some of you are experts.

Whats the piping size on 87-93, 94-95, 96-98, 99-2004. 2.25" on all of them?

How about the mufflers, will any offset inlet outlets with the correct pipe size be the ones that I need?

Model series... lemme see if I have this right...

American Thunder - loudest
Super 40 - The new one? Loud?
Delta 40 - Mid volume?
Force II - 3 chambers, quieter than the rest.

As far as the systems go, does a 96-98 system vary from a 99+ system? What about on the older cars , 94-95, and 93 and less?

What systems / mufflers are popular?

Well, Any help is appreciated.

All 5.0 and 4.6 has 2.25 pipe from the factory. The Flowmasters go as follows: u need offset/offset 2.25 for just a replacement to factory(no pipe upgrade), 40 series is the loudest followed by the deltaflow 40- 50 series- and then the deltaflow 50. The super 40 is the same loudness as the standard 40 but w/ a deeper tone and supposedly more power.

Chris, the American Thunder system uses the 40 series mufflers but the whole system that Flowmaster sells is 2.5 inch like on my car. You can hear how loud they are next monday. You pretty much have all of the rest correct. the new super 40s are supposed to rule. Oh and some people on here have 1 chambers and they are amazingly loud. But they swear by them.
