The Hanes repair book is good. Almost everyone that has a mustang I know has one.

SHM has a couple books out. I have one of them, it has pretty decent information in it.

I think Tim @ MPH needs to write a book about 4.6 motors

If you are looking for a repair manual I would reccomend just getting a subscription to alldatadiy.com
I bet I have bought 50 haynes and chiltons manuals over the last 20 years, but they really don't compare to the alldata site. I have a subscription on all three of our cars.

If you are looking for just general motor books explaining modifications and builds, there are a few on Amazon.com. I have the one SHM put out and one other one I can't remember the exact titles right now. While most of the information is still valid, some of it is sort of outdated.

I have had my 2k gt for 8 years, and I have yet to buy a repair manual. There use to be such good advice right online.

Yeah, you can almost find anything on the net on how to repair your car, but there's so much mis-information on the net maybe the book is the better idea. Plus it's always goood to have one handy incase for those who do not have the net.

I have the SHM book. I truly is a good book. He may not know how to run a business, but he was the one of the fore runners of mod performance. It is difinally worth picking up. It is going to help me assemble my short block myself.
