any good places to get 3.73 gear installed in nj

GEARS $450

86-98 Mustang - 3.73 or 4.10 gears, speedo gear,

synthetic oil

Well this is what there website says... If this includes the gears then i think it's a good deal... If not then you could always try Crazy Horse in South Amboy. I dont know the number but im sure someone here can chime in with it.

I had mine installed last may by Larocca's and it cost 300 just for the install.(i supplied the gears) You can definetly find a cheaper place but i only chose them b/c i know that they are a reputable place and they know mustangs like the back of their hands.

I went to JDM in Freehold. They were great guys. I had them do gears 31 spline axels along with the housing unit subframe connectors and a superchip. I even got a chance to meet Evan Smith there!!!

I'm from toms river, lived here my whole life. Tons of mustang.
whats up there fellow nj stanger. got a question, your 3.73 gears, how do you like them. was the change a hugh difference. how is it on the highway. let me know. my ride is tucked away for winter as well. 96 gt, 5 speed ,volant cai,jet chip, soon to have magnaflow c/xpipe, borla cat-back, hopefully 3.73 gears. thanks for any info. :nice:

n.j.gt-- I love my 3:73s. I did notice a difference at first but it was after i drove a stock 03 gt with stock gears and then went back to driving my car that i noticed the biggest difference. Honestly the highway isn't a problem. I did a lot of parkway and turnpike driving last summer and at 65 mph the car was right at 2000 rpm. There is more pull in 5th and the gears make it nicer for dropping into third when doing 65 and blowin past people. 3:73s made the car more fun, especially when cruisin and racing others, get them whenever u get ur car back on the road.

i plan on it, already called larrocos. they said 275.00 to 300.00 if i already have the gears. thanks for the info. :nice:

I am not sure how much for just the gear installs but you can give them a call 732-780-0770 or even check out their website teamjdm.com. I honestly was not that impressed with the 3.73's I feel that I should have gone 4.10's but everyone says that opinion will change when a power adder is installed. I can deffinately feel the difference between the stock and the 3.73's but it is not what I was hoping for.
