any news on a possible mid-model mustang?

My dad has been holding out on getting a new GT in hopes that a model between the GT and Cobra will come out (like the mach 1 or bullit sort of thing). For one, it will be rarer and holds its value better, and for another they are ussually more fun and more unique than a base GT.
What are the current rumors on a mid-model mustang?

California Special, but not until after the Cobra is released.

There's a Bullitt planned (read the Mustang vs. Charger article in one of the auto mags a couple months back; can't recall which one) but it'll be 2007 at the earliest. They mentioned upgraded wheels, less restrictive headers, and the return of Highland Green.

Motortrend also said that there would be an 05 Cobra and an 06 Boss. Believe what you will, but I will believe it when I see it.
