Hi I'm new to the forum and was wandering if ther was any other guys with Terminators out there in Western Canada. We have a few out here in Vancouver. A couple of us are running 11's. Myself 11.76 at 117 MPH with just a few bolt on's.

Dude I dyno @ 390 now, a set of cams and an intercooler and and I will make over 600. Your little Cobra would look like a Civic. You should get your head out of your ass. There are plenty GT's that will smoke a Cobra.

Damn if 18 months is lifetime you better drive that $50,000 car pretty hard boy. Hmm let me see 50k for a Cobra or 40 for a fully moded GT. You decide. Cobra owners

Dude! I have dynoed at 478 HP and 512 Torque NOW! 12-18 months from now is a lifetime better get you head out of you ass!

Few bolt ons? Those are pretty good numbers for just a few bolt ons, more than most guys are getting with CAI, pulley, tune, longtubes, X, and catback...

Now now. There is more to owning a cobra then just the dyno numbers. We all know that a gt can be made to surpass cobra specs because they are the same car after all. He could argue that there is still roughly 10,000 more in upgrades in your car to get to his specs.things like the 3000 dollar 6 speed for one or the bullet proof bottom end for another. 4 valve heads are damn pricey and independent rear suspension. Much respect goes out to both camps :nice: . But can't we all be friends. We all know that a 50,000 88 coupe could own both anyway ;).

Hi Guys
Just a 2.8 pulley, predator with a dyno tune, off road x pipe and cat back. Have an Apten on order and a NOS 5115 system sitting on the floor. Now with the new NHRA rules I can run 11.50 with no roll bar, scatter can ETC. Try that in a GT . I'll just have to hide the bottle if I go back out the the track, no nitrous allowed in Pure street!

Almost 500HP and OVER 500ft/lbs of torque all at the wheels with just a pulley, some exhaust work and a chip re-programmer?:shock:WTH do these Cobras do for stock?
And just a couple other questions for ya, how come no roll bar for your car? I understood it was mandatory in cars 11.99 or faster. Did NHRA recently change something in that regard?
What ratio gears are you running and with what kinda tire? Just curious.

He's talking dynojet horsepower, and they make around 355 at the tires stock on a dynojet. They make about 315 at the tires stock on a Mustang dyno. A cold air intake, MAF, throttle body, and cat back is worth about 50 hp at the tires on a Mustang dyno, even without a chip tune or Predator.

There is a new NHRA rule covering very fast factory cars that allow them to run to 11.50 as shipped without having to meet the usual safety requirements. Only minor modifications are allowed before the car is reverted to the normal safety requirements.

Jeebus, methinks your dyno is a little wonky or else you've got one of the strongest 2.8s that I've seen. Most guys with those mods are only around 450-460, and thats with a CAI too.

I have 4 different dyno sheets from 4 different days playing with tunes they range from 470, 474 , 478, 473. All around 512 Torque. Brown Bros Ford in Vancouver here is a Diablosport dealer and with the new revolution softwhere they can get the tune bang on. I went from 448 to 475 with a tuned Predator. Go to RTMmotorsports.com and to the dyno sheets for 03 cobra and have a look. The car goes 11.76 at 117 MPH and weighs 3750 with me in it so you do the math.
Browns has tuned many other Cobras like on 2 separate times 97 Cobras with bolt ons, and Vortec and aftercoolers. Went from about 375 to 498 with just a Revolution cutsom tune and nothing else. I was there to see it happen. Off the shelf chips don't work that well! Diablosport is the way to go! :nice:

NHRA has changed the rules for what they call Pure Stock cars, like 03 cobras and Vipers and Z06 Corvettes. We can run to 11.50 with no roll bar or other safety stuff! But no aftermarket blower or nitrous car must be stock. OK for exhaust and chip and pulley, no other engine mods. Even convertables can go 11.50 too. You can go to the NHRA web site and type in pure stock in the search part and it will go right to the rules.
As far as gears I have the stock 3.55s and run stock front wheels and tires and 26-11.50-17 ET streets on Cobra copy wheels.
And no I am not talking Dyno jet HP. We only use an Dynodynamics Dyno it is an eddy current loading dyno like a Mustang but with better datalogging. I never put my car on the dyno stock but Brown Bros Ford who does all my work has done about 7 other Cobras like mine and they all put down 360-380 stock.
