I have a chance to pickup some ARE black mesh wheels with the polished lip but Im not sure what they'll look like on my car.. wondering if anybody is running these wheels and has a pic or two of them.

Also if I don't like them are they desirable at all or am I going to be stuck with them?

thanks

here's what they look like

Are they 16"? If they are you shouldn't have a hard time getting rid of them. They look like old Saleen's to me

I searched for 4 years trying to find a set and finally got mine this year. I've always wanted them (i would KILL for some in 17''). I now have a set of 16s for my Mustang and 15s for my Merkur.

That second one doesn't have the drag radials in the back, which really make them look better. I personally like a nice set of 16s on an older car like mine because you get a decent size rim but you also get some fat tires with it for that old school muscle look. I've been flagged down by total strangers asking if i want to sell mine, and i have a guy on our local forum who made me promise i'd give him first dibs if i ever sell them. You WON'T have a hard time selling them and if they're clean you shouldn't have any problem getting at least $400 out of them.

16's are more valuable then the 15's but if they are in great shape you can unload either one rather easily. I love mesh's...love love love

Thanks fellas for the info and the pictures.. I had an 87 grand national a few years back and loved the 16" ones I had to help the gnx theme but don't see them much at all on foxes.

I found out that these wheels are 15x7's and are super clean but don't have center caps. Im thinking im going to pick them up and see how I like them but I don't think i'll keep them because I really like my weld draglites because there the uber rare 16"

This is way OT, but 85_SS_302_Coupe, is that a third brake light on your trunk lid? I thought those didn't come around until 1986... And yours is an '85, right?

Yep, third brake light and yep it's an '85. The police were using 3rd brake lights long before they were government mandated.

Measure your center hub, there is a guy on ebay that sells generic caps that look like the stockers, just no ARE decal. I will see if I can find the seller for ya.

EDIT: Found him

You could have some custom center cap design made up for them too.
