Any Pipes pass smog

I am new to this site and to mustangs. I have a 94 GT, and am looking to get a mid-pipe. Specifically Bassani catted X-pipe. I know a guy that said he could get it cheap. Has anyone passed smog in Cali with a aftermarket pipe and if so which one?

Welcome to the forums as far as mid-pipes any mid-pipe with cats "should" pass the sniffer.

I've got a Bassani H-pipe, and I passed just fine.

I think the issue isn't emissions as much, but it's that you have a catted pipe in the first place. As long as you have a catted h- or x-pipe, you should be fine.

Now technically, any replacement MUST have the same number of cats. We have four, so our replacement must also have four. That's what I heard, anyway.

My stock H only had two if I can remember correctly.

from what I heard the aftermarket pipes can have 2 cats as long as there is a cross over tube connecting the cats.

my bbk x-pipe with cats passed the sniffer.
