any real difference in power between going from stock GT tail pipes to Dumps?

well my car is at the shop now and there welding up some subframes and I'm gona ask if they can make my stock tail pipe GT thingy that turns down before rear bumper into dumps?



any SOTP or any real gains doing this? also Id want them to up my timing from 10 to 14 degrees, any differences in this?

No gains except annoying noise,

I did dumps,
For a week lol

I wouldn't do it to my GT.... the noise is annoying.

No power gain, but you'll drop about 20lbs. My friend had longtubes, o/r H with 2 ch flows and dumps and it was quiet inside, VERY quiet. Now he has tailpipes on and its louder inside and sounds better.

quiet ? that dont make no sense, I got welded in mufflers now and the stock Gt tail piping all the way back, duno how it could get quieter I just want a ballsier sound and trying to pick up 1rwhp and minus 20lbs of weight is good to me.


with this and the timing bumped a little maybe I could leave 5rwhp and 20lbs lighter that would diffenetely be nice

I love my dumps, although even if im just at part throttle but accelerating, people think I'm stomping on it. I also have long tubes and the whole thing sounds really good from the outside. On the inside, stuff likes to vibrate at like sub 2000 rpm. Compared to stock...I like them alot. I like the sound of dumps better from the outside, but I have never driven in a stang with aftermarket exhaust except mine, so I can't really compare what it sounds like inside.

I have had dumps on my car since I bought it. I love the way it sounds and wouldn't change it. I also experience the vibration at around 2000rpm but it doesn't bother me. I don't know if it will help the back pressure, I get it only when the car is cold.

I have never had any other exhaust on my car so I can testify for anything else. Just my 2cents of dumps. Good Luck
