Underdrives will give you some. The other two are more for weight/space savings.

Maybe a little from the underdrives. If your looking for sotp changes by removing the a/c and smog, I'd say your probably removing them for the worng reason.

I noticed some SOTP improvement from underdrives and some from the aluminum drive shaft. The best SOTP was going to 3:55's, next best was off-road H-Pipe. The Edel Performer intake was a nice improvement also (just need heads to go with it now). I didn't feel much from the shortie headers.

Yes you WILL feel it in the SOTP.

BlackGT89 You are correct about the shortie headers not feeling anything. On a mostly stock engine you will actually loose power from shortie headers.

I think you will definatly get a SOTP gain. U/D's you definatly know they are in there. Removing smog I felt nothing, but A/C delete I noticed a gain, and dropped .1 at the track, as well as a cooling advantage since the condencer wasn't blocking airflow.

A/C and smog = junk. Good Riddance and a lot more room in the engine compartment. I'd rather sweat it out than lose HP ha ha

I agree, they are junk, or atleast in this day and age. The air pump is a leftover from the carbed days but ford didn't want to delete it because deleting smog equipment isn't what the EPA wanted to see, they wanted to see the manufacturers doing everythign they could to "clean up" or whatever those tree-huggin' hippies desire. The A/C if operating well I wouldn exactly say is junk but re-filling with R12 is not only getting difficult to find but is also expensive. Re-filling with R134a will not cool as well. Replacing everything is way too expensive. These are just my opinions, I could be wrong.

Personally since I'm in the southern part of the country I like keeping the a/c.

You will definatly feel a gain from deleting those with the a/c. You gain power across the board when you delete the smog pump and a/c. You'll gain probably 5-10rwhp from those pretty much across the board. The underdrives will give you about the same gain.

My ac is broken, and i've been sweating all summer so i think i can do without the ac

My area doesnt have emissions testing and i have no cats.

And a question, my current mid pipe is a stock pipe with the cats cut out and a smaller diameter pipe stuck in between and welded, if i was to swap to an actual O-R-Hpipe would i notice any gains? is my current pipe still a restrictive piece??

ALSO, is it possible for the fan to hit the shroud, but not all time???

I see the top of my fan's blades are all scruffy.

Could it be something to do with the motor mounts??? If so what can i do??

maybe they use to hit the shroud on the previous owner so he changed the motor mounts. and now it doesnt.

I didn't notice any gain in HP from removing my smog pump and A/C. I did notice that my car ran a little cooler without the condenser in front of the radiator.

I did notice my car would rev a little quicker with the addition of aluminum U/D pulleys.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to remove the P/S for a daily driver, would it be too hard to turn, would it give and good gains??
