I can NOT get my fuel tank strap bolts out, I have been working at one for about 3 hours, open ends, ratchets, saws, everything. How the hell can I get these bolts out? I dont have an impact wrench but at this point, the bolt ive been working on is pretty mangled anyways. I dont know, but I put today aside for the car, and nothing is getting done except a mess.

You can get special tools to remove ruined nuts and bolts. If you can get it in there use a nut splitter to break the nut. Lots of penetrating fluid. Have a friend who is not frustrated look at it for a minute sometimes that helps.
Good luck

Ya I have the special ratchet fitting for messed up bolts, they just arent cutting it. I put pb blaster on a week ago and let it sit overnight, then i did it again a couple days ago and let it sit again, then I went at it today with tons more and lots of struggling, to no avail.

I don't remember how these bolts go in. Is there a nut on the back side or is it a nutplate?
I assume that the bolt will not break loose. My personal favorite for this is a hammer. Get what ever wrench or breaker bar will fit on the bolt and start swinging at the handle. Helps to vent some frustration too.:D Just dont use the ratchet, they don't hold up well to hammers.

Good luck
