I just got back from the tint shop. I had the tech install some felt on the inside of the channel like there is on the outside. It cost me an additional $30. I used Suntek HP. The rear is 15% and the sides are 50%. Hopefully this won't attract the police. You can still see if I have a belt on or not. I'll keep you posted whether or not the felt addressed the scratching problem.

Any opionions on the tinting? Remember, I'm in CA so can't go too dark on the sides.

Nope no problems here, I'm in Cali too. My back three are at limo (5%) and my sides I think are at the minimum 55%. Just make sure you let 'em dry for a day or so, you should haven't any scratching, especially if you went to a reputable place.

Yes! The first thing my tint guy did was look at the inside channel and found it has no felt, just rubber. He said to either keep the windows up or clean the dirt from the inside channel.

I asked if they had anything they could add to the rubber. He installed some felt for $30 extra. We'll see if that resolves the issue.

Is this at the bottom of the windows, or the sides? Where was the felt added? I'm getting mine tinted on the 25th!

Thanks,
Dave...

Interesting I'll check my windows tonight, but I haven't noticed anything since I did it two weeks ago.

They added the felt on the top of the inside channel where the factory just put in a solid piece of rubber.
