Saw the one on ebay

GT Plenum Cover

Would prefer this one

Anyone seen one around?

Also I am thinking that a GT Grill (coral and spokes) off a 67 or so GT would look nice. Anyone tried this yet? Pics?

What would you pay for one like your picture? Powered by ford with the pony in front?

I have a machine shop friend who is going to give me a price to make one and then I'm going to ask him how much to make 10 more.

how about 120$ ? plus shipping.

The guy on e-bay is selling his fiberglass ones for $129 and they are not near as nice. you could probably sell them all day for $120.

If they are going to be metal I would go for that, without the pony.

I'm Back again Iv'e been sick for 3 weeks.

The machineist does special 1 off projects for my Company. and we work together alot on each design. I have asked Him to take a look at the cover and give me a price to make me one. I told him that if there is enough interest i would have 10 made, and If I sell those we might go for 100.
Of course, 10 would cost less than the first one and 100 would be even cheaper. I could make them with and without the pony.

I will use my 2005 GT as a model for the first one and post the pictures here for all to see.

He is a busy Guy and this would be a "favor" since we know each other on a Professional Level. He does High Class work with Aluminum and even might do Anodizing with Mustang colors.

It will take about 2 weeks before I have any more to add.

Forgive my mechanical ignorance, but is there any issue w/ heat dissapation from the plenum if you cover it?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessing aluminum would be better as it would draw heat away from the engine as opposed to fiberglass which is an insulator and would tend to hold heat in .

I going to go out on a limb and assume Ford looked at it and didn't see it as an issue. The cover is now an option on the California Special Mustang. We we're going to order a GT/CS this week, they said they would be out in the summer. But, we found a Roush on the lot we liked so we bought that. The plastic/fiberglass Powered By Ford plenum cover should be available at the dealer this summer. But a polished aluminum one would look cool

Yeah, I asked midwest if they could ad the "powered by Ford" and the Roush on the front. They said "No" because they're both licensed

wow, this thread is over a year old. yes, ford is making one and will be available later this summer from the parts department. i think they will blow all the other companies out of the water with their price. i think its less than $70.
