I'm really going into drag racing withdrawl and trying to live vicariously through anybody right now. Anybody go race last weekend? Got any pics? We start up this weekend but I just can't wait!!!

Sure did. Just to be dumb, I filled out my tech card with the name "Chuck Norris", so you know what happened when my card came out to the track annoucer.

I had my 05 GT there this past weekend. I didn't have a good day. My first run was pretty crappy, learned pretty that I can't do 2nd gear burnouts with MT ET Streets, stalling it twice:nonono:. Pulled off a 14.24 VS an 02 Z28 14.28 though, that was my best pass. 2nd run, missed both 2nd and 3rd, beat an older fox. Last run, shifted to 2nd and 3rd early and still managed to beat a 69 Firebird, but it was close. I am thinking of going again this friday, actually haven't decided which car I am going to take. I would like to take the TBird and put a final time to it before it gets a whole new drivetrain or get more practise with the Stang. Either car, I will likely trailor which ever one it is up instead of driving it.

OK, I am sure I am gonna feel real dumb when you tell me, but what does SIR stand for?

BTW, how is the track condition at Castrol Raceway this year, I never made it up there at all last year (damn clutch problems). As soon as I get a few more km's on this new tremec tranny/clutch combo and my new slicks come in, I plan on heading up for street legals.
Anyone know when the new 1/4 strip at Rimbey is supposed to open up. Just checked their website, but it doesn't say when it will be finished.

SIR = Saskatchewan International Raceway, just outside of Saskatoon.

I was there again Friday 12 May 06 with my 05 GT. My new best is 13.71@99 MPH. This is with 255/50R16 MT ET Streets and SLP LM Axleback Exhaust as the only modifications to the car.

thanks,
BTW nice time for stock 05.
Just for comparison, I ran a 13.7 with my fox body but it took 3.55 gears, pulley's, headers, full 2.5" exhaust and a set of Cascar slicks to do it. (this was a few years ago right after buying it)
What is the altitude at SIR?
