Anybody know anything about Bowling Green, KY

I just applied for a job there (im fron baton rouge, la)
Anybody live there or been there before? Is the city nice, how is apartent rent or house prices around there? How is the mustang scene?
Does KY have emissions laws?

In response to the title of this thread...

Don't they build Corvettes there?

Wonder what the Mustang scene would be like. Must be like the BMW/Mercedes scene in Jerusalem.

 :rlaugh: ......You'd be surprised that they make Jeeps here and they are not as abundant as would seem...........more Dodge truck it seems....lol

On topic.....used to go to some tournaments in BG, KY.......I thought it was a nice place...

Looks like you are in the clear.

While Kentucky did adopt a vehicle emissions testing program for three northern counties in 1999, the requirement ended in late 2005 with an emergency regulation signed by Governor Ernie Fletcher.

The governor cited improved quality of air and the potential to use other methods of reducing air pollutants as the reason for the program's end.

one of the first questions had had about moving to a new state
ill never ever move to california!

Yea **** that.

Car laws + gun laws = Not coonass friendly.

My buddy in the marines lives in Cali and he was telling me about how hes gonna get a V6 mustang and drop a carbed 351 in it. I was like cool.

Then I was like. Wait you live in Cali, you cant do that. First off it would never pass emissions. Secondly I dont think you are allowed to put a motor in a car if the motor is older than the car.

Needless to say, hes moving back to LA when he is done. :)

University of Kentucky DOES NOT have a campus there. There is a university, Western Kentucky University. So yes, there are many rentals. Good area to live. Close to many, many things, lakes, caves, etc. and lots of shopping. Short drive to Nashville, Tenn. and Louisville, Ky. And they do wear shoes.
