anybody paint their brake plates??

i got mine all cleaned up after the leaky cylinder completely ruined my new shoes, would it be alright to paint them before installing the brakes? anybody done this? i have some por15?

Painting the outside would be fine but if you paint the inside make sure you dont paint the bosses (flat spots) where the edge of the shoe rides or they will likely cause the brakes to stick. Also put a little bit of grease on these bosses.
