Basic stock 97 4.6 v8 in Tbird. Custom CPU tune and intake and exhaust mods. I am swaping to PI intake and heads from a 04 any body have a basic cam reccommendation that doesn't require a new TC? Just mild upgrade from stock. thanks

i would go with VT stageII cams but you will need better valvesprings, which is easy since youll have the heads out to work on. you can always stick with the VTs1, though they are the same price as the stageII's.
i dont think youll need a higher stall torque converter with these mods, but it always helps, along with the j-mod and a tranny cooler and some rear gears.
