anybody try flowmaster's new collectors/flanges?

I saw these in a summit catalog today and am considering getting them, very tempting because it seems like my collectors end up leaking no matter what I do:

I am seriously considering using those when I put the Magnaflow kit on my car. It would be nice to be able to remove the exhaust system easily if I wanted or needed to work on stuff. Imagine disconnect the collectors and these flanges after the muffler and the system is off the car.

I had two flanges welded on the back side of the mufflers to facilitate dropping the exhaust for driveline work. The muffler shop did it for $40.

I think I have a problem with the flanges lining up, neither side/end is perfectly flat and triangular. I installed some metal gaskets like your talking about, but after a while, started leaking again. I do hit my exhaust sometimes on bumps, but not bad.

Get double paper gaskets and soak them in water. I nearly ripped my exhaust off once. Straightened everything up as well as I could on the car and sid the above. The water will soften themn them up so they conform to the flange. Water will drip out when you tighten them up. Get 'em hot and retorque.
