Anyone been dissapointed with PI Swap?

Has anyone actually been dissapointed with the gains of their PI headswap? If you didn't do longtubes or port and polish do you wish you did? I want to make sure it's 100% worth it and I'm pleased with the results before I dump all this cash into the engine. Thanks.

or find a low mileage 99 or newer engine , unless you have a really low mileage engine already , ive seen some engines go for less that headswap parts , and that way you would have a fresher bottom end , especially if you have alot of miles , saw one with 40k miles go for 900 bucks complete with FI , TB , mass air , computer and complete harness .

I have pretty low mileage but if I could find a complete engine for less than a headswap it would be hard to pass up.

I wasn't too happy with my headswap. If I could do it all over again I would have had the heads ported and gone with better cams. I only picked up 24 RWHP. I guess with the auto robbing 20-25% HP I could have picked up 40 Hp at the engine. I would save a couple weeks longer and get a set of ported heads. I didn't think I would have been able to pass emissions with long tubes and I didn't want to put the stock manifold and h-pipe back on every year to pass the tests. Do you guys have any problems passing your emission test with long tubes?
