Anyone changed LCAs with Magnaflow exhaust?

Just wondering if you had to pull your exhaust to change the arms. If you do have to, I'm screwed as I had Spintechs welded onto the Magnaflow piping and cannot remove without cutting.

Also, any other tips are appreciated. If I get really bored this coming weekend, I'm swapping to my BMR LCAs that have been collecting dust for months.

Magnapacks or regular Magnaflows?
I did NOT have to remove exhaust to install LCA's because the Packs are a round muffler. Even then, you can wiggle the muffler enough to get the LCA bolt out. It was a PITA (on my roomate's v6, 1 muffler) but we did it. Just my experience.

I had to remove the exhaust when I did it because the front bolt was impossible to get to let alone take out. I don't see how it could be done without taking the exhaust down....its just too close to the frame.

maybe you would have enough room if you unbolted the catback from the midpipe?

Thats what I was thinking as well. Worst case you have to unbolt the catback from the midpipe and loosen up some/all of the catback hangers to give the cat back a little wiggle room.

It was a PITA but I was able to wiggle around my packs to get to a wrench in there.
I attempted, in fact loosened my exhaust so I could get more play in the muffler. It was going to be a lot of trouble and time spent taking it all out although I imagine it'd make the LCA install much easier.

So... It's not impossible to deal with the LCA, just a lot of grief!

When I did my LCA I had weld in flowmasters. I unbolted the midpipe from the catback and unhoked all the rubber exhaust hangers and unbolted the exhaust tips from the bumper. This allowed me to turn the mufflers just enough to get to the LCA bolt.

thats the same thing I did, but I think Nick has his catback welded to the frame or something

That just shows the different ways people think. I probably would have figured that out once I was under the car, but I never thought about doing that just sitting here behind the computer

Had 0 issues here with my Packs, the round mufflers made it a non issue.
