very good point, I didn't think about that, and I didn't know if you drove all the time with it etc... I had my car at the regular ride height for a few years, and I could only bring myself to lower it 3/4" just because we get really deep snow here and I do drive it year round... and there is nothing wrong with driving with nice rims in the winter as long as you take care of them and don't drive into things...

this is what I was going through last winter...
it was something crazy like 1.5 feet of snow... in one night.

I had a 69 Bronco with 10.5W meats on it and it was like driving a mustang in the winter.
Tall and skinny is the way to fly. It's also good to see that you guys are doing well in the winter with the proper tires.
I was debating on moving up to an 03-04 GT auto due to my long sitting time in traffic, but being in Chi-town, I was affraid that the snow might get to be a real problem.
I currently own an 03 Spec V and if any of you guys know of anyone looking to sell an auto Stanger 03-04GT in the Chi-town area let me know. I've been thinking about going back to the blue oval.

275 summer tires= suck in snow, but i drive her.
200+pounds in the trunk keeps me tied to the ground
(weight is moved right over the axle, but not showned like that in picture)
Weight in back sags the back down but shows worse because of my stock 4x4 springs

hm..i prolly have around 145 pounds in my trunk right now, and years ago someone told me that was waayyyy too much weight. it works though

i dont think thats close to being to much. =] Yes, i know its a v8, but the weight has to kill gas mileage alot worse than just a factory weighed v8 mustang would.

Haha, my car does look like its launching at an drag strip...
and thats when parked. i can only imagine what it looks like when im actually taking off in 1st.edit: Dont worry i dont drive this thing like a mustang with all that weight in the trunk. Granny driving is what i practice in the winter. when the snow/slush hits trust me. I can drive this thing like i could never before without my back end going nuts and fish tailing in the slush. This is the perfect weight i think, but its alittle overboard if you ask me. 3 bags of sand is NOT ENOUGH and 4 is alot ,but oh well. Cant wait till winter is over!
