You don't know how many times we've gone "hunting" for races and pull up on a car that picks "the stang with the neon" as their race. The last hopped up WRX did this. We had driven side by side enough he even asked if my car was an auto. I said yeah.... he told me he would spot me a couple cars before he killed me. He and his buddys laughed.

My G/F returned their laugh. I told them when they went I would. The guy rolled his eyes and said... "oh, okay... "

When he dropped the clutch at about 4 grand, I proceeded to launch, hook, then juice it. We had our windows down (summer time) and you could hear his passengers say WTF! as I pulled past them.

It was great stuff.

Our track has a Car Club Challenge each year that runs into the night. This fall I won the plaque for "Best Late Model Muscle Car" - neons were ON!

I'm sure some of the old timers were upset about it, but no one said anything that I'm aware of. I was pretty proud as I didn't figure I was even an option because of the neons. Guess some people are coming around if they are properly installed and not 14 different colors.

And for my award I would like to thank all the little people that helped make this possible.... and for those non-discriminating judges for their votes. Thank you, thank you....

But in all honesty they look killer on you car, so its cool. The part that makes them work is that they are the same color as your car. when people dont match them thats what makes me not like neons.

BTW - my favorite insult was when a kid was a with his crew at the track... seen my car and said,"what is that a tittybar on wheels?" Everyone laughed.... I had to laugh to... then said,"why you looking for a job?" He laughed back and everyone got a kick out of it and went our different ways. I ran a 13.10 @ 106 that night.

They have to be the gold series. They don't even ask for a receipt... just call get a return number and give them your addy.... when they get the tube and inspect it, they just send you one back.

Well then that doesn't matter cause mine arn't gold series they are just the ones you can buy and Advance, Pep boys, and AutoZone

I totally agree with that. I get bashed a lot on here because of the color of my car i'm automaticly a gay ricer WTF?? Colro has nothing to do with it. Unless its thet purple and pink barney car that was on here a few months back lol

i think that the mysterymachine and gcomfx.com cars looks pretty sweet and with the neons those cars look great with the neons i love that green. i want to get a 95-98 vert and paint purle white and put a blue underbodykit on it i think that it would make the purle in the paint stand out and look good.
