So as it turns out my winter beater (13 second 95 talon TSI) is now faster than my 00 mustang gt summer car.... This is a problem that I believe will need to be rectified.

Trying to break up the winter boredom in this forum.

yes, my Tempo would currently destroy my not-yet-completed 85 stang.....I will also need to rectify. Maybe this year I will finally drive it.

There is a guy in SK on the tempo forums that I came across with 2 count em 2 svt contour engines which are both turbo charged in this 85 rusty tempo. Talk about your sleeper .

What? Some guy put TWO SVT Contour engines into his '85 Tempo? How does that make sense?

And no, I wish I had your problem, SPEED FREAK. Currently, I don't have a beater. If I did, I guarantee iwould be a POS and NOT fast.

I'm not so big on straight line speed so it's not really an issue for me. The beater "pimp van" is mostly to keep the miles off the Stang, keep her out of the snow/salt/rain and park whereever without caring. Damn thing still runs pretty well for having 166K on her just runs a bit rich.

Depends. If we were to drag race on ice, I am pretty sure my jeep would beat my mustang.

Wow has this forum been dead.

Actually I feel your pain, a skate board will be faster then my GT right now too. Hopefully in the spring that will be rectified as well. As of now it had been 16 months since I have driven my car for any distance.

Nope, my winter beater is a 2.8L 4x4 Blazer so I don't have to worry about that. Heck, if my summer car was a 4 cylinder Mustang II I still wouldn't have anything to be concerned about!!

No it doesn't have a fart can it is just currently sporting no muffler what so ever. I actually feel a bit safer in that thing with it as loud as it is because all those people with big trucks scare me in my little car

No problem, a couple of good power shifts with that Talon's "Glass Jaw" drive terrain should turn it into a 0-second car and your Mustang will be back on top again.
