2 years in the owning and starting up my 5.0 and just taking advantage of the low end torque and midrange around town is so fun, specially since my offroad pipe its bit nice to hear the motor scream at times and people know to get out of your way, hehe. when i first put on my offroad pipe that tank of gas was about 12mpg, on an otherwise stock car too. i usually get about 17. In my mind im just waiting because i know that 5.0 grunt is gonna be so much greater and funner with heads and cam which i think are going to be my next mods

I floor my car several times with each drive-and I drive it a lot. I usually rev it to 5-6k on the street where my mallory ignition's rev limiter kicks in. At the track I usually go to somewhere north of 6k. I know the tach is not very accurate but its what I've got to go by.
I have a 93 escort that gets like 30miles to the gallon so I dont really care what the stang costs to fill up-which is usually once every 4-6 days if I'm lucky.
D.D. MPG is probably under 15, highway kicks up to 20+ with the a/c on.

i can go awhile without getting into the gas, but it really depends on who is around and if I feel like being stupid...granted i rarely drive it now, so that doesn't help either.

Hehehehehe! Funny. I just "raced" a guy in an old Pontiac 6000. I was minding my own business. He tried to get a "jump" on me at a traffic light. I just rolled him till about 40mph, or so. Bout all my poor, stock GT can handle.

I make special trips to get on the freeway, so that I can run it through the gears. Almost all 5.0's sound awesome, with Moflasters. Daddy like!

i can control it most of the time. but there is this one road that for some reason, its a 50/50 shot on if ill hit it. and my car is so much more different than the sn95, i love how the approx. 325hp modular just rips away at top end.

Its pretty much a guarantee to beat on it everytime its driven. Its kinda like having a crotch rocket, its meant for that so use it to its full potential.

I get on it quite a bit. But, I have calmed it down since the gas prices went up. I can get 22.5mpg when I drive nice. I used to average 17mpg driving like a 18 year old with an addiction to HP/torque.

8 mpg here when I drive around the city, not flooring it, but not being gentle either. The good news is that it does get 21 mpg on the highway. That'll change after I get my 4.10 gears though.
