Anyone ever change the Intake Name Plate?

My pony is starting to come up a bit.. and for $20, I decided that I'll go with something different...Did anyone ever change it?

I've found one which says Mustang 4.6 GT... which I think would go nice?

So has anyone ever replaced it?

I found them on www.uprproducts.com .... They are also for sale on ebay..though for the same price range

I've only seen 3 different ones - Steed/4.6 GT Supercharged/Mustang 4.6 GT

I believe they sell for $20

On top of your currently intake (unless you've changed ) there's a running pony

I believe that the running pony is simply glued on, because mine is beginning to come up a bit

They're just a pretty piece but since I need to replace mine (scratched up a bit also) I figured that I would also switch

Just peel off the running pony and stick on the new one.

I have the steeda logo on my plate.

I took mine off and sanded it down and it look really good just blank

I have the Steeda one -- blue with "Steeda" engraved on it. It took about 1.3 mins to install -- putty knife inder the pony, clean the gunk off the plenum with goof-oof or the like, stick the new one on.

It's funny to watch the jiffy lube kids try to figure out what steeda

(And yes, I ought to change my own oil, but I'm too lazy. I take good synthetic oil and a good filter to them and have them do it. Most of the time they even get it right.)
