cool i made it out wensday all night and friday all night and just got home from being there for a couple of hour's tonight. same here i was going to get the T-5 fixed but the hell with it going to go to a 500 or 600 might as well go all out ....huh? peaceloud 95 said:I was with my friend, who was driving a primered '70 split-bumper camaro. He had bogging problems (I think due to an over-sized carb), and ran mid 13's when he should have hit high 12's. I did not bring my '95 because I am putting in new race axles, differential, bearings, etc. I don't think I will be racing it until september.

It's alive for the moment, but not long for the world...loud 95 said:It's funny, because my old tranny went into the car of Beenstroked, and is now apparently in Rootus' '95GT. At least it lived on!
Rootus said:It's alive for the moment, but not long for the world...Needs another rebuild, and this time some gears are going to need replacing.
what did chung charge you for everything out the door minus install? peaceloud 95 said:I am definitely of the school of thought that once you blow a factory gearbox like the T-5, you should probably step up to something stronger at that time. I don't understand the guys who blow T-5's every other weekend. It is cheaper in the long-run to upgrade to a stronger tranny; it just sucks saving the money! During my first year of college, I blew the rear seal and (I believe) the output shaft on my T-5. I just went up to All Ford/Blue Oval and got a TKO. It's funny, because my old tranny went into the car of Beenstroked, and is now apparently in Rootus' '95GT. At least it lived on! Good luck with your quest for a better tranny.
