I was with my friend, who was driving a primered '70 split-bumper camaro. He had bogging problems (I think due to an over-sized carb), and ran mid 13's when he should have hit high 12's. I did not bring my '95 because I am putting in new race axles, differential, bearings, etc. I don't think I will be racing it until september.

I am definitely of the school of thought that once you blow a factory gearbox like the T-5, you should probably step up to something stronger at that time. I don't understand the guys who blow T-5's every other weekend. It is cheaper in the long-run to upgrade to a stronger tranny; it just sucks saving the money! During my first year of college, I blew the rear seal and (I believe) the output shaft on my T-5. I just went up to All Ford/Blue Oval and got a TKO. It's funny, because my old tranny went into the car of Beenstroked, and is now apparently in Rootus' '95GT. At least it lived on! Good luck with your quest for a better tranny.
