http://www.redlinegoods.com/shiftboot.htm

Been doing some interior appearance mods and wasn't really thrilled with the fake leather boots on the e-brake and shifter. Short of buying EXPENSIVE '03/04 cobra leather boots, i was looking at the boots on redlinegoods.com.

QUestions are what color leather best matches the Dark Charcoal leather interior?? I was going to go with Charcoal, but wanted to make sure it would match.

Secondly, they can modify the height of the boot for a short throw shifter. I'm unsure how much the MGW drops the shifter down, but i'm sure it's 1" or a little more. ANyone know how much shorter for sure??

I was thinking of graphite leather with silver stitching to match my silver exterior and silver IUP console trim.

Also, how does the leather e-brake boot fit? Does it lay like OEM or does it bunch up?? I HATE bunching up!

My friends have 03/04 cobras and i just love how the real leather boots makes the interior look more cozy. I want to go that route myself

i have it...makes my interior look WAY classy..get compliments on it all the time because its REALLY butter soft leather.

Best thing you can buy for $40

the hieght is just perfect. You use a zip-tie on the inside to hold it up how every high up you want on the handle. Should fit around ANY handle. Fits around my pro 5.0 with short handle some nice and perfectly. The extra leather puffs and and sits nice around the handle

Mustang5L5, this is quite funny, I am ordering my boots tomorrow, I have the Orange handle MGW shifter, I called mgw and they told me to get the regular size boot because although MGW is a shorter shift, it extends much further then stock..so Im going to listen to them and get a regular size boot..I also have Dark Charcoal and I asked the same exact question, he told me to get the Charcoal..you can see pics of the charcoal on their website, the guy that has 2-town black/charocal boots on his stang...he's also a member of this board.

My bf got the e-brake boot...the red and black (since his car is red)...it was a B-itch for him to get in. He had to trim the leather and mod it quite a bit to make it even stay on...and had to take the whole middle console out to get to it. The leather didn't really fit also, so he had to stretch it a lot to get it to finally go where it needed to.

i.e. he was in a pretty pissy mood trying to put that thing on.

overall, it does look nice, but not the most noticeable thing in the world. don't know if it was worth the trouble.

I saw those pics. I think i'll get charcoal as well. I have the red-handle MGW so i'll just go the stock height as well.

I just can't decide if i want the e-brake boot as well. I don' like how the pics on their site are all bunched up. Unless someone shows me some nice pics of the ebrake with the leather all neat, i think i'll just get the shift boot
