anyone have experience w/ MM's torque arm?

i was looking at that along w/ their panhhard bar, and both look like amazing products. ive heard a lot about the panhard, but nothing about the tq arm. anyone have it? how was the install? how was the feeling after? does it tend to oversteer? understeer? any comments/tips are welcome. thanks in advance

i did a very long conversation with the guys at MM about this same thing. end result is that it will have issues if you just slap on the TA and PHB. when altered with the TA spacific springs (harder springs for the rear) then it lower the roll tendency of the rear end. this evens out the tendency to oversteer, returning it to neutral. from what i have been told from others that have a TA the feeling in a strait line is jsut anotherstep up from going with full length subframes.... meaning you jam the gas and youshoot forward, not having the car "raise up" in the front.... of course this is also associated with the springs needed....

i know nothing of the install process, except that i dont think i could do it myself. i think you need to drop the tranny... but at the very least you need to do some minor welding for a few braces from the TA to the subframes.

I shot up a thread 2 days ago asking about the evolution motorsports trilink and the panhard bar combo instead of the TA... i think i would prefer this setup... but nobody said anything. this topic of higher end suspension seems to get very little responce.

That is seems to be the standard stiuation around here. Lots of drag guys, not many road course guys. I think there is a little more info in the 5.0 forum.

TA - It's a great peice to make your 4 link into a 3 link. better overall chassis refinement. But you do need the required componets to run TA's PHB's. I mean you're not putting in end links, you're seriously changing the dynamics of the your suspension.

That showthread article - Watts is a very good system however, due to having a trac-lock ford rear that tends to drive on the pass side the PHB's stiffness holds better on the wheel that gets more power. I am not downgrading the Watts system, It's a great system.

Tom, i never really understood the 3, 4, and 5 link systems. care to delve into explaining them?

There is an awesome site out there that goes over every Mustang suspension option in very good detail, and with animations to show how they differ during travel. I did not save the link . If anyone has it, please post it again. It will answer just about every question conceivable, and save others some serious typing time for this discussion.
