Anyone have experience with custom vinyl?

I'm looking to get a one off vinyl sticker made. 256 colors min. I've been goggling the hell out of it, and every time I think I found something, the cost is way too prohibitive. Would a local sign shop be an option?

The cheapest you will find is a small Signs Now, Signorama, Signs By Tomorrow ect...... I work for a Union sign shop and I know we charge a lot even for a small job. What exactly are you looking for?

No, a one off 3x5 sticker on exterior vinyl, really simple except for the colors.
