Has anyone put the new Shelby Cobra wheels (FR500) on their cobra yet? Do you have any pictures or opinions you can share with me. I am thinking of putting 18 inch chrome FR500's on my black red/stripes 99 Cobra. If you know of a really cool looking wheel I am open to suggestions.

The Shelby is GT500, not an FR500 BTW...

They are selling those wheels, but I think the offset is for an 05 Mustang and probably wouldn't fit an earlier mustang very well...

I Believe the wheels are called FR500 as I have found them on numerous mustang wheel web sites. They also make different sizes and different off set and backspace for newer and older mustangs. If anyone has them can they send me a picture.. I am also open to suggestions to a really cool wheel if anyone knows of one.. I probably will go to 18's on my 99 Cobra

These are the 07 Shelby wheels:

These are the FR500's...there's a difference...

And yes, they do make FR500 wheels with the proper backspace and offset for your car

Thanks a bunch John. That is what I was looking for with a picture of the wheels on a Cobra. That is one of the coolest looking Cobra's I have ever seen. I love that color and the wheels look great. Can you tell me what sizes you have there. It appears that maybe the backs are wider or deeper than the fronts. What company did you go thru and did you have any problems. Thanks Again, Scotty

They are 17x9 w/ 275-40 & 17x10.5 with nitto 315 DR's I got them off Ebay ($500) there is only one place that makes the replicas. They are not the best quality as far as paint goes but The rims come with a full manufacturer warranty which covers the structure for an 10 years. Here is the link where I bought mine from.

Thanks Naz Man
Those really look cool with the white car and the black fader stripe. I am not so sure how the black spoke would look with a black car. Right now I am leaning towards the full chrome ones even though they will cost me a few more bucks

Big Pimpin!

I love that blue with the rims!

Is there a company that makes them in 18 or 19 inch?

I ended up getting my Chrome FR500's from Wheelreplicas.com. I got 17x9's. This company was cheaper than the others that I found on the internet and they carry insurance on them when they are shipped which a couple others did not. There was a slight chrome imperfection on one wheel and they shipped me another one the same day. I am very happy with the service they provided. My invoice reads Performance Tire LLC
dba Wheel Replicas and Eaglewheels
phone 281 392 3126
832 567 5265
I will post pictures soon as I put them on today
