The tires, i'm not sure what they were meant to go on,.

Those tires are Goodyear Blue streaks. They come in alot of amt kits.

Hey Flavadave4, I joined automotive forums. That is a cool site. Now I just need to get a photobucket or something to post pics here and there. There are some unbelievable models on there.

This thread inspired me to dig out my mustang model so I painted and buffed it today starting to look awsome the pics dont do it any justice it looks way better in person.

ive got a question for you model guys: have you noticed that the quality and scale of AMT is crap compared to revell/monogram? AMT always seemed disproportioned to me.

That's looking real good. I don't know what you have planned for wheels, but I found this kit on ebay that you could use for the wheels.

I bought a 07 shelby gt500 and am planning on using those since thats what I have on my car. the shelby is a 1/25th scale and the kit im building is a 1/24 so we will see how they look when I get the kit

i built a 69 fast back. i forget where i got em. but i found 2 tiny electric motors and threw em under the rear and hooked up 2 AAs. ill have to find it and take pics. it looks like complete ass tho. lol
