I've been wanting to get the Steeda Q400 hood for my car. I like the cowl look, but the Q400 adds the louvered look in the front that I think makes it more unique and less plain.

I know NickTheGenius used to have it and i have a few of his pics...but does anyone else have some pics of one? I've been wanting to get a Q400 hood and since I do my own vinyl work...wanted to make the louvers a nice silver color (striped).

Pics would be appreciated :)

Nice looking car.How much clearance do you have under that hood? Looks like atleast as much as a cobra R hood.

It basically is the Cobra R hood, but with the added louvered feature/look.
As for pics of the back side,or even the underside,i have none.
The hood is closed off at the cowl, but does have an openning on the driverside for functinality. The hood is a basically 100% perfect.Just paint and install. All you would need to do is adjust the hood to fit with the gaps with the fenders. :nice:
And thank you for the compliment.Cheers!!!

Funny you say that. When i would ask others what they thought of the hood before i bought it,plus reading some comments on this board about this hood, nothing was really positive.Wierd
But once everyone i hang out with saw it on my stang, they were like :jaw: ,"that looks sweet,i didn't think it would look that good!!"
Glad you like it.It is different, not everyone has it,and it gets a grade A+ in quality, fit, and finish. )

yeah i think its a bit steep, $400 for just the hood, but I love STEEDA products :)

And I have been wanting to get this hood since i've had the car for the past 2 years now...and i think its time soon.

Thanks for the pics.

If anyone has more please post them!!! I would love to see a black car like mine with one :D I'm wanting to put silver stripes in the louvers. I already have the hood pins installed on my car

Really, you think it's steep on price  ? Over here in Canada, the hood is cheaper then Harwood by 200 smackers, and cheaper then Cervini's by 300 smackers. For the price of the Harwood hood,i purchased my Steeda Q hood plus had it painted LOL!!. Wierd!

Here in Jersey that hood costs me $400 (most hoods I see are 300) + shipping, plus another like $300 to paint the hood....

Nuts.:nonono: All i will say is that the hood is worth every penny you will spend on it. :nice:
I got the hood painted for 200 cash. But i din't get the underside painted,i liked the black finish it came with on the underside, especially with the stang being silver.I was afraid if i had the underside painted silver,it would discolour, and go yellow like i have seen on some cars  .

Never heard of that happening before. No paint should turn yellow....
