anyone have probs moving the battery to the trunk on a 2002 gt?

i tried to connect my battery to my new trunkmount kit from summit racing and i have the ground connected to the chassis on the bottom of the trunk and i have the positive looped around to the front and connected to the positive cables that were connected to the battery in the front and the car started fine and everything but for some reason the chassis has a charge and sparks flew out when i touched metal to the chassis? anyone know what the deal is here?

Is your POS cable wrapped? I cut the end off mine and hooked it up using a stereo distribution block.

no, i was just testing it out so i didnt wrap it up yet. maybe i'll try what you did and use the stereo distribution block. thanks : )
